cafe sacai

2014 Cafe Sacai
This cafe was planned as part of the Chuo Line Mall concept, which was part of the Chuo Line Elevation Project. The structure and exterior of the building had already been determined in the master plan, but in order to make the most of these givens, we installed pseudo-pillars inside the building to ensure a gentle flow of work and space.
The interior and exterior pillars act as a visual frame, allowing people and furnishings to appear in layers in the windows, conveying to pedestrians the tranquility and liveliness of the cafe.
