A comprehensive sports park was being developed on a small hill along the Nishiki River that runs through the city, and an observation rest area was planned in one corner of the park. The surrounding area is designated as a scenic area, and the planning process places various restrictions on the shape, color, and materials of the buildings.
The rectangular, symmetrical floor plan, centered on an axis facing Mount Iwakuni on the opposite shore, aims to create a powerful building that stands out against the abundant nature that surrounds it.
The clear interior space created by the colonnade in the center of the building and the difference in levels, as well as the panoramic view that unfolds before your eyes, welcome visitors. It is the perfect place to spend time with a view.
